The First Step
After she has a positive pregnancy test is when you are probably most overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. During this time, you need to remember that she is also feeling overwhelmed, and she is looking for someone to support her. By guiding her to seek professional medical care, you are supporting her, her health and her pregnancy. Encourage her to get a confirmation pregnancy test, as well as a pregnancy ultrasound to confirm the viability of the pregnancy.
After she has received all of the early pregnancy care, it is now time to discuss your plan moving forward. You probably have some initial thoughts on how to go about the pregnancy, and she does too.
